Studio One Eleven is an integrated practice of architecture, landscape architecture and urban design dedicated to the repair of existing cities and the revitalization of communities. We focus on design and tactical interventions which improve urban livability, sustainability and engagement. From community planning to streetscape improvements, mixed-use infill developments to small and impactful urban interventions, we work at a variety of scales to provide a variety of services. No matter the size, we view every project as an opportunity to enhance the urban condition that sustains it.  Our design process begins with extensive research, analysis and community input to ensure a deeper contextual understanding and includes systematically measuring and monitoring the effect of our projects once they are complete, leading to better understanding of project outcomes and how this serves the needs of our clients and community.

We are seeking a landscape studio design director to operate as a catalyst for innovative landscape architectural design. The Landscape Design Director shall be responsible for the overall vision and implementation of unique landscape architecture design solutions which will compliment and strengthen our core principles.  The Studio Director shall work collaboratively with firm leadership and diverse teams to facilitate creative and thoughtful design which supports and shapes the economic, environmental and social needs of city repair and revitalization. Experience in thought leadership, successful client engagement and coordination of design intent with multi-disciplinary teams are core requirements of the position. Applicants shall possess the verbal, written and graphic skills to clearly articulate concepts to clients and other creative team members and demonstrate the ability to manage and lead staff effectively.

The ideal candidate is a licensed landscape architect that can establish and lead the creative design strategy of various project typologies and scales.  This individual shall be able to identify areas where design decisions are needed, provide them and make sure they are implemented properly for a cohesive and well integrated design. We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and positive individual who demonstrates thought leadership with a passion for design and creativity that carries from concept through construction.
